THANKSGIVING WAS AMAZING! I'm not going to lie it was exhausting though so today's pday was really looked forward to. So we woke up at 5 AM and went down to the parade and got FRONT ROW seats?.. no standing places more like it. We stood there for about 4 and a half hours and enjoyed every moment of it! Jimmy Fallon totally pointed at us missionaries and was like "WHAT?? HAHA" It was great! I was covered in confetti and the weather was SOOO NICE! It was so cool. Those balloons are WAY bigger than they look like on TV just for your info. It was a blast. Then we went to a members later that day for dinner. O it was DIVINE! Sis willes went to culinary school and has already signed up to feed us on Christmas too! WOOT WOOT! Then we went to another member's afterwards who knew we already had dinner but just wanted us to stop by... hmmm SHE TOTALLY FED US AGAIN! It was kinda funny though because she just insisted and insisted and we were like fine ... we will try the coconut rice... two minutes later we each had huge plates of food... all of her stuff. haha. It was fun to just have a day to celebrate. Def didn't have the same feel as a normal thanksgiving but it was fun to try something new.
So one last thing. Monday night there was this event called winter's eve at Lincoln center where they light all the Christmas decorations and then all the stores and places to eat around there have free stuff and there are bands and a bunch of crazy things going on and so we set up a table with free hot chocolate.... we gave out 1000 cups of hot chocolate and pass along cards with candy canes. How did we know it was that many?? because that's all we had and we ran out of them. IT WAS NUTS! You say free and people come running! It was really fun but made me really tired. I stood there for like 4 hours and it was cold too! But we reached a lot of people so it was FANTASTIC! There were six of us doing it and we wore santa hats and reindeer antlers and it was just such a joy!
Well we are off to china town to get Christmas presents! YOU ALL SHOULD BE SO Excited! HAHAHa! I cant wait to see pictures from thanksgiving. LOVE YOU ALL TO THE MOON AND BACK!
