Hello ALLLLLLL YALLLS!
O it has been another CRAZY week. It is always difficult to get a new companion but you do learn a lot about yourself. It has been exciting to have my temple square companion for this short time. Temple square sisters serve outbound for up to 4 months. My companion has been here for about that long and so it was a big surprise that she got transferred this last time to me with only two weeks left. But it has become clear to me why she needed to come here. We both have things we need to learn from each other even if its in a short time period. It was really sweet yesterday we had zone conference and that is when we have our interview with President Searle. I have been a little down because we have not been having too much success finding new investigators the last two weeks but I have been trying to be positive, especially with President because he has so much to worry about already. But he just told me to make sure I don't beat myself up too much and then he just told me how much he appreciated what I do. He said thank you like 10 times and pointed out that he has been giving me a lot to handle. It really was just so sweet of him to say that so that I know that he knows he can count on me to help (even if my contribution is small). Anyways that wasn't to boast or anything it was just a very tender moment for me.
We are excited to have another baptism this weekend. Our next convert's big day is finally here!!! She is just so cute. Satan is working really hard on her though. She has been down on herself lately and then has a seizure yesterday (she has epilepsy ... spell check please! haha). But she is so dedicated. She is grasping so tightly to the gospel and the knowledge that she not only can be relieved of her sins but that she can truly become a new person. Her past problems and burdens will not be part of her. She is so full of life and excitement I cant wait to see what she brings to the ward.
I am so excited about Kenton. He is going to LOVE the MTC. I would like his address please! Tell Heather congrats and that I love her and Mark too now haha!
I cant believe that BYU is already done! I cant believe I have already missed a whole semester! It blows my little sister missionary mind. The end of a semester was always so fun though. Like you get to start fresh.
Lately I have been studying a lot about self mastery. This life is the time for us to learn how to control our bodies. How to let our spirits (the good part of us) take control of the natural man. We have our agency to choose what we want to do and so its all about making good choices. Some choices are easier than others and that's why we have to keep practicing self control. We will be happiest when we allow our wills to be one with God's because He knows best what we need. He can do a lot more with us then we can do with ourselves.
Well I love you guys oooo so much. To the moon and back even!!!
Have a great week don't forget to be nice to the missionaries!

TIME IS FLYIN
Helllluuuooo Family!!!
So time is flying by and if you didn't already know 6 weeks have gone by and yet another transfer day has come. Sis Miller and I were working so hard and not really thinking about transfers that we completely forgot until we got the call from our district leader telling us he had news for us... Sis Miller has been transferred. I donno if I smell bad or something but my comps keep leaving me! haha. It has been very humbling. This really doesn't happen that often so I don't really know what to make of it. But right now I am actually in a library in the Bronx sitting across from my new companion Sis Flores. She is actually a temple square sister. She is amazing and super cute. I am the senior companion CRAZY! I was in shock when they called my name first at transfer meeting. The crazy thing is she is going back to temple square in two short weeks. Like I said.. I don't know what the Lord has in store for me. haha. So in two weeks I will get another companion. I don't know who it will be really but I will keep you posted. Its gong to be a crazy couple of weeks but I am going to make sure we work super super hard so that sis flores gets all she can out of her outbound call before she goes back to temple square. She also gets to help me with my spanish which is amazing because they are opening a zebra area (one spanish one english) in the..... DRUM ROLL PLEASE.... BRONXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX AHHHH MONCION FAMILY HERE I COME!! Both the APs and Zion Sisters were like. ... guess what Wadz its coming. haha I am so excited! I know what you are thinkin mom but just so you know the part of the bronx I would be in is actually nicer than where I am now. I donno if that makes you feel better or worse but o well .. im a servant of the Lord I will be protected! DUNN DUNN DUNN! It was so weird/sad to say goodbye to sis stirling today. O how i love that girl. I don't think I will ever forget here. She has played a huge role in my life. Its crazy she will be home.. hugging boys tomorrow. ahahah.
So enough with the transfer crazyness. Our area is doing AMAZING!!! We have an investigator getting baptized on the 25th. She is doing so well with the Word of Wisdom. She is so amazing. Heavenly Father loves her so much. I know that because I can feel it when we teach her. And now we have another baptismal date for May 15th (Crazy MAY?). He is so awesome. He is HUGE. Like 6' 7". Its nuts. But he is like the most gentle person ever.
So here is the story of the week for you. *shivers*. So last night I was helpin sis miller pack and she asked if she could use one of my big envelopes so I agreed and went to my carry on luggage thingy that I keep under my desk to hold my books since I don't have shelves. And so I opened it and sware I saw something move in it but i closed it and then pondered on what I just saw. Little black things ... and possibly movement. Then I said "sis miller I think there is a mouse in my suitcase" So we braced ourselves and opened it up and sure enough OUT FLEW A MOUSE!! RIGHT AT ME! o man did I SCREAMMM!!! I told my comp it was Karma for saying that I thought mice were kinda cute earlier that day. NOT ANYMORE THOSE DIRTY LITTLE POOPY STINKERS (oops i think poop is an uh oh word... owell). It was horrible and of corse in the midst of my screaming I lost track of it and it is now somewhere in our apartment. The funny thing is. As i was cleaning out my suitcase I found wrappers and pieces of two chocolate kisses that the mouse had gotten out of my package (in a separate box) they were still in the plastic bag btw and he carried them into my suitcase and had a little snack. Sadly I had to throw the candy away. Too nast to think about. Sis Dantes one of my roomies (the one from Hati) is certain I brought it with my from the MTC... not possible since It was empty for some time when I first got here. haha She is funny.
I'm so excited for Devan. I love Kelsey so much I am so glad missionary dreams do come true for some people ... haha. I am excited to hear more news about it.
Good luck with finals all my BYU buddies. When you are stressed and studying for 8 hours straight... think about how i am .. not :D for 1.5 years :D haha. Then decide to serve a mission. hahaha jk. It really is nice to have a break from that aspect of life. I hope you are all doing well. I love you all so much and appreciate the letters I get :D hint hint. Packages are ALWAYS welcome haha. I am so funny with my mail. It drove sis Miller crazy that I would pace myself and read them like a day later or that night or save my package to open on Easter. I like to look forward to stuff. For example I save Krista's letters for the night before pday usually. I LOVE YOU ALL. Keep workin hard and relying on the Lord. He will make someone much better out of you then you ever could (no offense but its true!!!) I am learning that very quickly here on a mission.
LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK

Sorry late
Dear Family,
so sorry this is a day late. We had the sisters luncheon yesterday all the way in Scarsdale a two hour train ride there and two hours back and so we had no time for anything else. So the president gave us permission to use our lunch break to email... and now of course its just my luck a worker here just came by and said he is closing all the computers down in 20 mins... ahh. Ok
So my brain is so jumbled now I can't even think. haha
Conference was amazing. It was so sad when they said the closing prayer. It broke my little heart. It was awesome to just listen for once. We also had mission conference on Tuesday. We talked a lot about being a charitable missionary vs a dutiful missionary and I have decided to make that the focus of my mission. I will send a copy of the talk home for you. Its so great. It talks about how we have to dedicate our hearts and minds too not just our might and strength because that's when we can truly become what God wants us to be. Our wills are the only things we can give God that He doesn't already have (or has really given us).
So two quick funny stories before I get kicked off...
1. So like 3 times a week we have street meetings where all of our zone or district gets together in one spot and contacts as many people as possible. So we had one at union square this week. A very liberal and diverse area (mostly scary) haha jk. lots of college students. But that day was especially crowded because of some big event. So I am speeding along trying to be urgent (like they tell us to be). That day I decided to wear a skirt I found in the closet again. It was prob bigger than my usual skirt but i figured I could pull it off... so back to speeding along... all of a sudden something feels kinda strange and right as i look down.... down goes my skirt!!! ahhhhhh... i looked around and picked it up... and my slip slid up with it causing it to stick out every where on the top. o man there were people every where. my companion laughs soooooooooooooooo loud and everyone turns around. So I punch her in the arm and go on my merry way. I laughed pretty much the rest of the day.
story #2 so there are security guards at our complex. They are all big black guys who are generally very kind and we love to say hello to them. They wait for us to get home every night. its kinda fun. Till one day one of the guards asked us if we could get married I said yea after we get home and went on my way. My comp lingered behind and one of the guards said good because I want to marry one of you. She asked who and he said "her" pointing to me a few steps ahead. EWww... I didn't really think anything of it till two days later we got in our elevator to go home and then all of a sudden it makes a funny noise and starts to go down to the bottom floor. Right when we we get to the bottom floor the doors open and sure enough that security guard had called the elevator down and handed us his card and said "I would like to take you guys to dinner sometime".... I said only if we talk about Jesus and then closed the doors... O DEAR his card is so funny too but the time is running out so I got to go.
The work is going great. Im working super hard. Doing my best. I know Heavenly Father loves each of us. Thanks for all you do. Our convert told us he and his member friend are talking about MARRIAGE!!! AHHHHHH SO great!
